Anakwad Biography
Anakwad (Anakwad Frank Montano) is a Native American from Wisconsin, USA. He is a member of the Ojibwe tribe. He is the son of a musician and began honing his own musical talents fairly early on. Over the years he played in numerous rock, country, and bluegrass groups, before turning his attention to his Native American musical heritage. He now creates music based on traditional Indian Flutes. He has released solo albums. The first was Reservation Reflections. That one was followed up by Eternal Journey. Next came Woodland Winds. The next album in the series was The Spirit Sings. Lake Superior Visions came next in line. Anakwad followed that one up with Spirit Visions, and then Closing the Circle. ~ Gary Hill, All Music Guide
