Atom Seed Biography
Formed in 1989 by vocalist Paul Cunningham, guitarist Simon James, bassist Chris Dale, and drummer Amir, the London-based Atom Seed rose rapidly through the ranks of the local pub scene. Signing with FM/Revolver Records, they recorded their debut, Get in Line, the following year. Licensed in 1991 by London Records for release in America, the album failed to take off as expected and the band's relationship with the company was shaky from the start. The label would continually reject the band's subsequent demos, and their confidence and drive began to slip as they found themselves unable to advance their career, or even perform live. Eventually released from their contract with nothing to show for it, the disheartened group split up in April 1993. ~ Ed Rivadavia, All Music Guide
