Black Funeral Biography

Black Funeral Indianapolis-based black metal band Black Funeral was the brainchild of Baron Drakkonian Abaddon (born Michael Ford Nachttoter), who formed the group in 1993. Their first release Journeys into Horizons Lost followed a year later, with Vampyr--Throne of the Beast appearing in 1995; in the wake of 1997's Empire of Blood, Abaddon disbanded Black Funeral, citing his disgust with the increasingly sorry state of black metal culture. ~ Jason Ankeny, All Music Guide
