Damn The Machine Biography
After leaving Megadeth in 1987, guitarist Chris Poland issued a solo album, Return to Metalopolis, in 1990. Three years later, he resurfaced with the group Damn the Machine, which included his brother Mark on drums, as well as Dave Clemmons on vocals/guitar, and David Randi on bass. While the group was indeed heavy metal, their sound was slightly more progressive than Poland's previous band, comparable to the likes of Queensryche and Fates Warning. The group only remained together for a single self-titled release for the A&M label in 1993 before splitting up. Clemmons later resurfaced in a band called Jud, while Chris Poland became a member of the jazz-rock outfit Ohm. ~ Greg Prato, All Music Guide
