Divorce Biography

Divorce The Divorce was a brash young trio of pals that emerged from Seattle, WA, in early 2003. Led by the vocals and guitar of Shane Berry, the band also included bassist Jimmy Curran and drummer Kyle Risan. The band's hypercolor melodies and grating guitars combined perfectly with more blatant new wave influences and the members' own youthful naïveté to give them instant cachet in the Seattle music community. Strong airplay on area modern rock outlets sparked the interest of local startup Fugitive, which promptly signed the young group and issued their debut, There Will Be Blood Tonight, in May 2003. ~ Johnny Loftus, All Music Guide
