Down to Earth Approach included vocalist/guitarist Jonathan Lullo, guitarist Ryan McClurg, bassist John McCampbell, and drummer Peter Metzler. After a few false starts in their native New York, the band really started to roll around 2000, when they moved to California and their sound solidified around a robust emo/indie rock style influenced by bands like Sunny Day Real Estate and the Get Up Kids.
