Enter My Silence Biography

Enter My Silence Tuomas Jäppinen (guitar/vocals), Arto Huttunen (guitar), Ville Lapio (bass), and Teemu Hokkanen (drums) began playing together in their native Jyväskylä, Finland, in 1995 as Captivity. They changed their name to Enter My Silence three years later, and after recording 1999's Sophia's Eye EP, Mikko Kotamaki joined as full-time vocalist. Boasting a melodic death metal style often referred to as the Gothenburg sound (a Swedish city which spawned scene leaders Dark Tranquility and In Flames), the band released their full-length debut, Remotecontrolled Scythe, in 2001. ~ Ed Rivadavia, All Music Guide
