Galleon Biography

Galleon The Galleon story begins with a group called Aragon. In the year 1985, Aragon was composed of Micke Värn (guitar), Göran Fors (bass and vocals), and Dan Fors (drums). It was under this name and with this lineup that they recorded their first demo tape. On the basis of the response to the demo tape, the group changed their name to Galleon. That happened in 1989. The group's first CD was entitled LYNX-93 and was appropriately released in 1993. The CD featured Ulf Pettersson on keyboards, but he left the band as soon as the album came out. This sent the group on a quest for a new keyboard player. After a lot of trials and tribulations on this search, Pettersson rejoined the group, and the circle was once again complete. Two years later, Galleon released King of Aragon. The group also put out the album Mind Over Matter. ~ Gary Hill, All Music Guide
