Ghostigital Biography
While Björk began her quest for avant pop stardom soon after the Sugarcubes split up, her trumpet-playing, shouting, and always-eccentric Cube mate Einar Örn Benediktsson (often just Einar Örn) took a decade off before returning in 2004 with his solo debut, Ghostigital, on the Honest Jons label. Recorded with Icelandic multi-instrumentalist Curver, the duo would later adopt the album's title as the name for any future projects. In 2005, Ghostigital the project would sign to fellow maverick Mike Patton's label Ipecac and recruit labelmates Mugison and Dälek along with Fall leader Mark E. Smith, the Jungle Brothers' Sensational, and avant-gardist Steve Beresford for collaborations. After mashing industrial with jazz, rap with electronica, and everything else with what have you, Ghostigital released the genre-colliding In Cod We Trust in 2006. ~ David Jeffries, All Music Guide
