Hearse Biography
Hearse are a Swedish death metal band put together by vocalist/bassist Johan Liiva following his dismissal from Arch Enemy. Together with guitarist Mattias Ljung and drummer Max Thornell, Liiva has since kept extremely busy recording several albums (2003's Dominion Reptilian, 2004's Armageddon, Mon Amour, 2005's The Last Ordeal, and 2006's In These Veins) and EPs (2002's Torch and 2005's Cambodia), but their classicist stab at Swedish death metal spiked with a little melody and Entombed-style "rott & roll" has yet to leave a significant mark on the metal community. ~ Eduardo Rivadavia, All Music Guide
