Heidenreich Biography
Vienna, Austria's Heidenreich began as a side project of Abigor members Thurisaz (vocals) and Peter Kubic (guitar, bass, drums, etc.), and released a pair of albums -- A Death Gate Cycle (1997) and Trance of an Unholy Union (1999) -- exploring the black metal genre's more avant-garde sounds. Lucia M. Faroutan was drafted to lend keyboards and additional vocals to the latter, but Heidenreich was subsequently shelved while its driving forces refocused their energies on Abigor's more straightforward black metal releases. Since that band's breakup in 2003, there have been occasional rumblings of a Heidenreich reunion. ~ Eduardo Rivadavia, All Music Guide
