Hermano Biography

Hermano More a one-off project than a real band, Hermano remains most noteworthy for featuring vocalist John Garcia of Kyuss fame. Garcia, who was also recording with Unida around the same time as Hermano at the end of the '90s, gives the group much of its character, though it's also worth acknowledging that the remaining bandmembers are also established: bassist David Angstrom (Supafuzz, Black Cat Bone), drummer Steve Earle (Afghan Whigs), and guitarists Mike Callahan (Disengaged) and Dandy Brown (Orquesta del Desierto). The band's recording output, eight songs, took a few years to be released, when Tee Pee Records released the Only a Suggestion album in 2002. ~ Jason Birchmeier, All Music Guide
