Purity Biography

Purity Mixing hypnotic jungle beats with their own grim beat of electronic programming, Purity had a lot of bad days to let out when they first hit the studio in 1997. With their gloomy surroundings of South London maintaining a heavy influence on their work, members Jill Stark (programming), Florence Briggs (keyboards/ guitar) and Icy Lazare (keyboards/ guitar) became the first band to be singed to Tommy Boy Records through the Internet. With the label hook-ups in effect giving Purity a chance to play out and spend sometime in the studio to record the singles "Adrenaline, " "Bullets for Words" and "Interference/Baby Universe" in 1998. ~ Mike DaRonco, All Music Guide
