Radiate Biography

Radiate Based out of New Jersey but originally from Brooklyn, Radiate formed when longtime friends Steve Narvaez and Scott Brenner decided to form a group. Narvaez had performed with bands such as Longdistancerunner and Sleepasaurus but sought new musical directions. Radiate became reality after adding guitarist Rick Sajiun as well as multi-instrumentalist Jim Schultz. The group released a debut EP which received some airplay on hard rock and aggressive rock radio stations. Believing music to be a "political, social, and spiritual power," the band released its second EP, Transmission, in 2002. Radiate again received airplay on hard rock radio and performed both in Canada and the United States. The band has been compared to Pitchshifter, Ultraspank, and Filter for its "electro-metal" hybrid. ~ Jason MacNeil, All Music Guide
