Scaramanga Biography

Scaramanga Scaramanga gained experience from being part of Kool Keith's production front in the early '90s. With Kool Keith, Scaramanga helped create the Dr.Octagon concept, co-wrote and produced tracks, and toured with the group. Upon his return to New York, he took on the alias Sir Menelik and teamed with Rawkus for a series of singles and appearances on the MTV show Lyricist Lounge. The Rawkus album was delayed endlessly and Scaramanga went solo, with the end product being 2001's full-length Seven Eyes Seven Horns. The album hosted a large handful of New York MCs and producers including DJ Spinna and Goldfinghaz of the Wu Tang Clan. ~ Diana Potts, All Music Guide
