Sinai Beach Biography
Metalcore outfit Sinai Beach erupted from Southern California through two years of do-it-yourself touring. Comprised of singer CJ Alderson, drummer Mike Dunlap, bassist Daniel Barachkov and guitarists Logan Lambert and Sean Durham, the group built their reputation by playing shows in basements, clubs and churches across North America and Europe in support of their 2003 cult debut When Breath Escapes. In 2004, Sinai Beach was signed to Victory Records and recorded with renowned metalcore producer Eric Rachel (Atreyu, Dillinger Escape Plan, God Forbid, Zao) at Trax East Studios in New Jersey. Their sophomore disc Immersed--a melodic but savage mix of metal and hardcore inspired by Pantera and Danzig as well as Meshuggah and Slayer--was released in April 2005.
