Start Trouble Biography

Start Trouble Based in Jacksonville, Florida, Start Trouble emerged as a breakout punk-pop band with the release of their 2004 debut album, Every Solution Has a Problem. The band, made up of Luke Walker (lead vocals, bass), Terry Case (guitar, background vocals), Allan Leavell (guitar), and Mike Crews (drums) are out to have a good time, in the process of cranking out hormonally charged party songs about everything from getting plastered to getting laid.

After being together for less than six months the band was signed to Columbia following the discovery of their tossed-off demo tape.

On Every Solution Has a Problem, Start Trouble meddles with raw topics ranging from genitals to chemicals, and booty calls to sugar walls.  Regarding his sexed-up lyrics, lead singer Luke Walker laughs sheepishly, "I'm a Scorpio, so I'm pretty sexual in nature. Plus, I'm a guy." But that doesn't mean START TROUBLE doesn't have a serious side. Some of their songs in fact deal with much gloomier subject matter, like infidelity, stalking, and dead-end futures. "I'm always asking those questions, like 'What is the purpose of all this?' and 'What am I doing here?' I can get philosophical, and it comes through in some of the songs," Luke explains.

Ultimately it's all about fun for START TROUBLE; a band that gets their kicks from crazy live shows, a rockin' audience, and the attitude that making music is about having a good time.
