Untitled Biography

Untitled Untitled was the confusingly-named solo project of San Francisco-born singer/songwriter Cindy Dall, a part-time office assistant and exotic dancer who performed with Bill Callahan in his band Smog and worked with writer Lisa Carver in publishing her infamous fanzine Rollerderby. After recording her solo debut with the aid of Callahan and Jim O'Rourke, Dall struggled to name the project, but when nothing suitable arose, she simply dubbed her dark, unsettling music Untitled; an eponymously-titled debut was released on Drag City in 1996. ~ Jason Ankeny, All Music Guide
