Volition Biography

Volition Assembling fierce selections of rock & roll drawings by freeing hard-driven guitar melodies along with smooth pop picks, Boston's Volition contrives new paths for the alternative rock style. It was in 1994 that vocalist Cat Puckett and guitarist Dan Honig first met. Sharing mutual musical interests, the duo dedicated the following years to the discovery and combination of both musical preferences and creative contents, before deciding to join up a band. Following the additions of bassist Jason Katz and drummer Dave Borginis, Volition completed its lineup in the end of the '90s. The band then released its first album, Guilty Pleasures through the Hamster Records label. Elevenbyfour, their second full-length disc, followed in 2001. ~ Mario Mesquita Borges , All Music Guide
